Mina Activities

  1. Arrival Timing: Aim to arrive in Mina before the 8th day of Hajj to allow for a day of rest before Arafat.

  2. Throwing Pebbles at Jamaraat: When throwing pebbles at the Jamaraat, choose small pebbles rather than large rocks. Small pebbles are sufficient, and remember there are three pillars, so distribute your pebbles accordingly.

  3. Post-Jamaraat Services: After completing the final throwing ritual and returning to Mina, you'll find barbers offering hair-shaving services along the roads. These services come at a cost, but you can shave alone at your accommodation if you prefer.

  4. Respect at Jamaraat: The Jamaraat walls symbolize where Ibrahim resisted Shaytan's temptations, not Shaytan himself. Avoid yelling, insulting, or throwing objects like sandals or umbrellas. Stay respectful and civilized.

  5. Food Caution: Be cautious with food; if unsure, avoid eating rather than risking food poisoning, which could spoil your Hajj experience.

  6. Water Provision: If your Mina tents are far from Jamarat, ensure you carry enough water, as the water coolers along the way may not be adequately cooled.
